June Ella Robinson
1932-2022
We must sadly announce the passing of June Ella
Robinson. June had just passed her
90th birthday a few weeks ago. She
was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ethel (Morrow) McGivery, and
was born and grew up in the Saint John area.
June will be dearly missed by her husband Joseph (Joe) of 64
years, sons David (Kim) and Stephen (Aileen), son-in-law David
LeBlanc, sister Elsie Snodgrass, and brothers Don (Margaret) and Ralph
(Eleanor). June was blessed with and will be missed by several
grandchildren in Scott (Amber), Josh, Mathieu, Zack, and Sophie, and
was blessed with step-grandchildren in Jeremie (Christine) and Holly,
Oliver, Gabrielle and Philip. She was also blessed with
great-grandchildren in Archer, Charlotte, and Madeleine. She
had many nieces and nephews that she loved to hear from. She
will also be greatly missed by former daughters-in-law Kristi and
Lucie, whom she loved to talk with.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Lori
in 2021 who will be waiting for mom, and her brother-in-law
Bert.
June and Joe lived in Saint John, Toronto, and then Moncton,
and Moncton and Riverview is where they have lived since 1967. June
had many friends and enjoyed playing bridge. For many years
she was a member of a local bridge club with several close friends,
and recently had a smaller group of ladies that she enjoyed playing
with. She was a long-time member of the Mount Royal United
Church as well as a Life Member of the United Church Women (UCW) and
she enjoyed getting involved in church activities. She was a
volunteer librarian for many years at Bessborough School, due to her
love of books. She loved to read in her spare time and would
go through a book a week.
June was a wonderful cook and loved to set a beautiful table
around the holidays. She loved to have many friends and
family members around her table and loved to unveil a delicious
dessert to all. She loved to listen to the many stories
around the table from her guests over coffee.
Mom was as kind as they come and loved family time when she
could cook for everybody.
Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd,
Riverview (869-2007). Her family will be receiving friends and
relatives on Thursday, June 16th from 6-8pm,
and a service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, June
17th at 3:30pm. Burial will be at Pioneer
Cemetery in Penobsquis. For those unable to attend, the service will
be live-streamed and recorded. Donations to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation or Mount Royal United Church would be appreciated by her
