It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of June Weithers at Sunnybrook Hospital on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the age of 66. She was the treasured daughter of the late Abel and the late Sheila Rodrigues (Junor) of Georgetown Guyana. June was a loving and devoted mother to her son Justin.
June will be deeply missed by her son Justin, her siblings Patricia Buchert (Erwin), Jennifer Proulx (Clarence – Deceased), Ronald Rodrigues (Marion), Carlos Rodrigues (Lana), Kathleen Devers (Roger), Elizabeth Chin-A-Loy (Andrew), Joel Rodrigues (Mumtaz), Brian Rodrigues (Gail) and her much-cherished nieces and nephews as well as her extended family of many cousins. She will be fondly remembered by her friends and her work family with whom she kept in regular contact.
June was born in Georgetown, Guyana, and came to Canada at the age of 17. She was a strong-willed woman, steadfast in her beliefs. She was a very caring person and was fiercely generous to anyone who needed her help or assistance.
How blessed we were to have you in our lives. We love you so much. You will remain with us in spirit until we meet again.
