June Christensen
1931-2022
At the Edmundston Regional Hospital, February 12, 2022, Mrs.
June Christensen of New Denmark passed away at the age of 90 years.
She was the widow of Elmer Christensen who passed away in 2005. Born
at Plaster Rock in 1931, she was the last surviving child of the late
Prescott and Katherine (Carmont) Mills.
She is survived by two children, Allan Christensen (Tammy
Clark) of Crombie Settlement and Cheryl ”Sherry” Levesque (Thomas)
of New Denmark, five grandchildren, Bradley, Kati, Keith, Allana and
Sydney, five great grandchildren, Grace, Kali, Damian, Raelynn and
Lincoln, as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a
brother, Doug Mills, two sisters, Katherine Bates and Rose
Whelphey.
Funeral services for Mrs. June Christensen will be
held Saturday, June 4th at 11:00
am from the Grace & Truth Tabernacle,
New Denmark with interment in the Maple Grove
Cemetery.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the
church on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
For those who wish, donations in June’s memory to Grace and
Truth Tabernacle or the Maple Grove Cemetery would be appreciated by
the family.
