IT IS WITH GREAT SADNESS THAT WE ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF JULIE ANN BLAIR, BORN MARCH 21ST, 1943, WHO DIED PEACEFULLY AT THE AGE OF 79, ON AUGUST 19TH, 2022 AT JOSEPH BRANT MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WITH HER FAMILY BY HER SIDE. SURVIVED BY HER BROTHER, JOHN WATSON (ROSVITA), HER CHILDREN, SUSAN FISHER (BLAIR), JOHN BLAIR AND PAM VENEMA (HENRY). HER GRANDCHILDREN, MADDISON, MEGHAN, JOHN HENRY, HANNAH, KYLE, RYAN (KAYLYN), JENNY AND BRADLEY. HER GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, EMERSON, AND SOPHIA. JULIE WAS A WONDERFUL MOTHER, SISTER, AUNT AND GRANDMOTHER.
GRAM HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR SPORTS SPECIFICALLY TENNIS, BASKETBALL AND GOLF. IN HER EARLY YEARS, SHE WAS AN AVID TENNIS AND GOLF PLAYER. JULIE ENJOYED HER CAREER AT SHERIDAN COLLEGE WHERE SHE GAINED MANY LIFE LONG FRIENDS. GRAM ALWAYS HAD THE BEST SENSE OF HUMOUR AND WAS ALWAYS READY FOR A GOOD TIME. SHE ENJOYED PLAYING BRIDGE AND LUNCH WITH THE LADIES ON FRIDAYS. GRAM WAS A FIERCE COMPETITOR AND LOVED A GOOD DEBATE. SHE WAS STRONG WILLED AND ALL OF THE BLAIR WOMEN HAVE HER TO THANK FOR THIS TRAIT. IT IS THANKS TO JULIE THAT HER FAMILY IS AS STRONG AND CLOSE AS THEY ARE TODAY.
MANY THANKS TO THE STAFF AT J.B.M.H. FROM THE E.R. TO 5 SOUTH 200, PALIATIVE CARE AND HER EXTENSIVE MEDICAL TEAM FOR THEIR EXCELLENT CARE.
A MEMORIAL VISITATION WILL BE HELD AT BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 BOTANICAL DRIVE, BURLINGTON ON THURSDAY AUGUST 25TH FROM 4 P.M. TO 7P.M.
IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, THE FAMILY REQUESTS THAT DONATIONS BE MADE TO THE CANADIAN LUNG ASSOCIATION OR A CHARITY OF YOUR CHOICE.
