Julia’s Obituary
ROACHE, Julia May (Scott, Currie, Williams) age 88, passed away on Thursday February 3, 2022 at the Queens General Hospital in Liverpool. Born in Lockport on April 4th, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Pearl (Wamback) Scott.
Julia is survived by her sons; James Curry (Larry Smith) of Shelburne and Billy Williams of Lockeport, her daughters; Joanne Seaboyer (Harold), Lily Ann Roache (St. Clair) both of Lockeport, Bonnie Williams (Harvey) Jordan Falls and Laura Williams Whynot (Larry) of Liverpool. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren as well as 17 great-grandchildren of whom she loved dearly. Brother; Eugene Scott (Anita) and her sister, Carolyn Lawrence (Wallace) all from Lockeport, her sister in-law Winnie Scott as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former son’s in-laws; Peter Jones and David Hupman and former daughter in-law Marie Currie.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by husbands; Emanuel Currie, Bill Williams and Eugene Roache, her brother, Russel Scott, sister Joanne Williams and her infant brother Calvin Wayne.
Mom was a lifelong member of the Lockeport Pentecostal Church and WMC Group. She was also a member of the Highway Pentecostal Church in Liverpool. Julia was a former member of the Lockeport Lioness group. She had a deep love for her Church and God, loved wildlife and her cats Chrissie and Precious.
She will be deeply missed by her family our hearts are broken but she is no longer suffering
The family would like to give a special thanks and send their gratitude to the staff at Liverpool Queen’s Manor (Donna & Susan for taking her on as one of their own), Doctors and staff at Queen’s General Hospital in Liverpool and EHS crews for their compassionate care shown to our Mother.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Lockeport. A visitation will take place from the Lockeport Funeral Chapel on Sunday February 6th from 2-5 pm and a funeral service will take place from the Lockeport Pentecostal Church on Monday February 7th at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Scott Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Osborne Cemetery. Due to the current covid-19 restrictions vaccination passport records will be requested at the entrance and social distancing and the wearing of masks will be in effect. Priority for seating will be given to the family at the funeral.
The service will be recorded and uploaded to our site on Monday afternoon after the service and burial for those unable to attend.
