Judy’s Obituary
Brown, Judith Ann- 80- Oxford, went home to be with the Lord on February 24, 2022. She passed away, with family at her side, at East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born in Brooklyn, Queen’s County, she was the daughter of Annie and Colin Williams. Judy will be deeply missed by Brian, her beloved husband of almost 61 years, her two daughters, Deborah (Henry) Thompson and Verna Lynn (Kevin) Mattinson and her four grandchildren, Lindsay (Roberto) Leyva, Jenna (Dan) Gould, Coltan Thompson and Kaden Mattinson. She is survived by her sister, Charlene Freeman, and was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Sherman Williams, and infant twin brother, Colin Jr. Judy was involved in her Church and taught Sunday School for years, led a women’s prayer group and served with the Gideons, with her husband, for many years. She was a founding, and longtime member of TOPS and made many friends there. She was a collector, a deer hunter, and loved scrapbooking, reading, Word Searches, doing puzzles, and loved anything blue! Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 28 in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home, 5075 Main Street, Oxford. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 in Oxford Church of the Nazarene. The family wishes to thank everyone at East Cumberland Lodge who took such good care of Mom and also the VON who helped Dad care for her at home for as long as possible. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to East Cumberland Lodge.
