1945-2022
Following a lengthy illness, Judy Hansen of Perth-Andover, NB, passed
away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on October 1,
2022.
Judy was born in Riley Brook, NB, on June 29, 1945. She was the
daughter of the late John and Helen (Jenkins) Mahaney. Judy leaves
ebhind her loving husband, Dale Hansen; her sons, Dwight Hansen
(Otani) of Grand Falls, NB, Samuel Hansen (Tracy) of Grand
Bay-Westfield, NB; her twog grandsons, Nicholas and Evan Hansen; her
brothers, Marven Mahaney of Sisson Ridge, NB, Gary Mahaney of Saint
John, NB, and Lynn Mahaney (Libby) of Plaster Rock, NB; her
sister-in-law, Kaye Smythe of Truro, NS; along with several nieces and
nephews.
Judy was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Blaine Smythe and
Philip Mahaney; her sisters-in-law, Carol Mahaney and Myrna
Mahaney.
Respecting Judy’s wishes, there will be a private visitation and
funeral service held. Father Gilbert Doddatto officiating. Interment
will follow in St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Cemetery.
Dale and his family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to
Dr. Larry Kennedy, Dr. Joshua O’Hagan, the Extra-Mural nurses, and the
entire nurses and staff at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph Hospital for the
excellent care given to Judy over the years.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Hotel Dieu St. Joseph
Hospital Foundation or to a charity of your choice would be
appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
