Obituary
With profound sadness, we, the family of Juanita Madeline White, announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother at the Protective Community Residences, Corner Brook, on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the age of 83 years.
Juanita (pronounced “Genita” by her family and close friends) leaves to mourn with so many loving and precious memories: daughter: Giselle (Eric) Borden; sons: Armand (Amelia), Darrell (Christine), Bradley, and Jeffrey (Elaine); cherished grandchildren: Stephen (Bernadine) Borden, Elizabeth (Ryne) Hepditch, David (Lauren) Borden, Marie-Josée (Travis) White, Justine (Joshua) Shaw, Lea White, Andrew (Jennifer) White, Jonathan (Kaitlyn) White, Thomas Milley, Stephanie (Dylan) Sheard, Gillian White, and Christian White; precious great grandchildren: Ryder, Tenley, Sophia, Dominic, Wesley, Farris, and Halle; brothers: Bill (Sandy), Claude (Judy), Dennis (Edmund), and Rod (Genevieve); and sisters: Sheila (Dan) Matthews and Janice Starkes; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family too numerous to name.
We hope Juanita’s family who left this world before her now hold her in their warm, loving embrace: her parents Augustus and Ida Caines (nee Styles); sisters: Sheila (1) and Linda; brothers: Greg, Tony, and Maurice; and brother-in-law Bruce Starkes.
The oldest of 12 children, Juanita was born in Port Saunders. She and her family later moved to Stephenville where she lived for most of her adult life. Juanita was an amazing, strong, beautiful woman inside and out, who lovingly raised her five children as a single mother. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren knew no bounds and although her memory declined in recent years, she still loved them all. Her love and kindness was far more reaching than just her family and she touched many other people in a such a beautiful way.
The family would like to extend sincere appreciation to the Protective Community Residences, bungalow #3 for their wonderful care given to Juanita over the past two years.
Visitation will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville on Friday, July 29th from
