Obituary of Joyce Belinda Sweetapple
Our family is saddened to announce the passing of Joyce Belinda Sweetapple (nee Hickman). A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Joyce peacefully slipped away from us at the age of 80 after battling dementia.
Joyce was born in Fortune, Newfoundland, and moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta with her husband Eldon and Family, and called it home for many years.
Joyce leaves to mourn her three boys, Kirk (Glenna), Glenn (Lisa), and Jeffrey. Her grandchildren Kyle (Carli), Danielle, Sam, and Haley, and great-grandson Luke.
Her mother Margaret, sisters Marilyn, Patricia (Clyde), brothers, Frank, Dave (Patricia), and Neil (Dawn), sisters in law Bridget, Phoebe, and Annie. As well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Joyce is predeceased by her loving husband Eldon, biological mother Rita (nee Mosher), father Reuben, brother Reuben, stepfather Ted, mother and father in law Charlotte and Kater, brothers in law Ted, Edward, and Maxwell, and daughter in law Tonya.
The Sweetapple family would like to extend a sincere thank you to her best friend Vanessa (Harold) and the Lush Family for always being there. To the staff and nurses at the Willow Square Continuing Care Centre, we thank you for your endless support and dedication to Joyce. Please know it never went unnoticed.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in both Fort McMurray and Newfoundland.
