Obituary of Joyce K. Cowin (nee Lupson)
Of London, age 92, passed away at LHSC, University Hospital on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Dearly loved mother of Daniel “Dan” Cowin (Lise) of Toronto, and James “Jim” Cowin (Debbie) of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandmother of Natalie Walker (Sean) of Waterdown, and Alison McFarlane (Erick) of Stoney Creek. Proud great grandmother of Audrey, Stuart, Thomas, Hudson, Graham, and Easton. Dear sister of Sharon Rowlands (Brian), and Elizabeth Udell (late Bob), all of St. Thomas. Joyce is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, and their families. She was predeceased by siblings, Winnifred Smith, June Clarke, Elaine Voakes, Diane Durbridge, and Fred Lupson.
Born in London, ON, May 4, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Clara (née Bullock) Lupson. Joyce attended West London Alliance Church. For many years, she did extensive volunteer work.
By invitation, a private funeral service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160). (All in attendance are kindly asked to please wear a mask). Interment to follow in Elmdale Memorial Park. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of one’s choice will be gratefully acknowledged.
