Leek, Joyce Isabelle (nee Crumb) 1932-2022
Joyce passed away at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday May 16th, 2022 at the age of 90 years. She was predeceased by her husband James and son Jonathan. Joyce is survived by her son Jeffrey (Ann) and former daughter-in-law Denise Masters. Grandma Joyce will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Jordyn Leek, Jeremy Leek, Damien Leek, Christina Crosley, Tina Lebrun and Ocean Lebrun, great-grandchildren Damon and Dylan.
Joyce was a long time member of the Widdifield Lions Club along with her husband Jim. She graduated from nursing from St. Catharine’s General Hospital in 1954; this started her nursing career. Joyce also enjoyed being in Scouting for over 30 years as a leader.
Family will be receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd on Saturday May 21st 2022 from 1pm until time of service at 2.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Nurses Foundation ( www.cnf-fiic.ca ) will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
The family would like to thank the nurses on B-3 especially Daniel and Cassey for the exceptional care given to Joyce during her stay.
