In Celebration of
Josephine Moschitto
May 8, 1933 –
October 9, 2022
Josephine Moschitto, 89, died peacefully on October 9, 2022 from complications arising from COVID-19.
Predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Vic. Loving mother to children, Laura and Victor (Laura) and doting grandma to Anna, Domenic and Gabriel.
After graduating from high school, Josephine worked for several years at General Electric, before taking some time off to be a stay-at-home mom. Josephine re-entered the workforce and spent 22 years at Docap Corporation before retiring. An accomplished seamstress, her children fondly remember her making stuffed clowns for a local florist that were given as part of a floral arrangement to new mothers. Her favourite place was beside her husband, whether that was at the racetrack cheering on the ponies, going to the movies, playing euchre with relatives, watching the Blue Jays or dancing to The Platters, Save The Last Dance For Me.
Visitation to be held on held Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 7-9 p.m. at Turner & Porter, Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga.
Funeral service to be held Friday, October 21, 2022 at 3 p.m., in the Chapel, followed by a small reception to celebrate her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinson Canada or The Canadian Down Syndrome Society.
