Obituary
Josephine Marguerite Scott (née Morkin), aged 87, passed away at Rosedale Hospice in Calgary on Saturday July 2, 2022.
Josephine was born to parents Jack and Cecilia Morkin (née Breen)in Calgary, Alberta on September 22, 1934 and was the youngest of seven children.
Josephine is survived by her loving husband, Edward, their five children, Jack (Lucia), Therese (Barry), Michael, Monica (Kevin) and Jeffrey (Peggy), five grandchildren Karlie, Daniel, David, Colin, Emma, and four great grand children, Jack, Alice, Ben and Josie.
Growing up on the family farm in Claresholm Alberta, Josephine shone brightly surrounded by her loving family, farm animals that she serenaded, the beauty of foothills and fields of flowing wheat.
As a young girl she loved music and became an accomplished pianist with a beautiful singing voice bountifully sharing her musical talents with her children, family, friends and church.
Much like her parents and siblings, Josephine had an incredible sense of humour and shared the deepest belly laughs imaginable bringing so much joy to her own family and those fortunate to know her.
She sparkled with love toward others and was genuinely curious, compassionate, and kind-hearted with her radiant blue eyes and warm smile.
Until her last breath, Josephine faced death as she lived, with courage, grace, and a deep faith in God’s loving presence and guidance.
She will be cherished in our hearts forever.
