Josephine Silvia Bortolotto (née Becevello) died peacefully surrounded by her family on December 28th, 2022, at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Pietro. Loving mother of Lisa (Walter), Michael (Sarah) and Lori (Eon). Cherished Nonna of Victoria, Monica, Olivia, Henry, Natalie, Emily, and Lily. Dear sister of Al (Shirley), and John (and the late Nancy). Josephine was predeceased by her brother Rick (Helen). Josephine will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. Family and Friends may call at the Turner & Porter ‘Peel’ Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga on Tuesday, January 3rd from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2340 Hurontario St., Mississauga, on Wednesday, January 4th at 9:30 a.m. Josephine will be cremated.
The family would like to thank the ENT, Thoracic, and Oncology teams at Toronto General Hospital for their commitment to improving Josephine’s quality of life. They would also like to thank the ICU and nursing staff for their compassionate care during Josephine’s long stay at The Toronto General Hospital. Lastly, the family thanks all their family and friends for their support and prayers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The University Health Network. They further request that you then have a coffee in her honor. Josephine will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched.
