Joseph Patrick Maheu March 10th 1944 October 29th 2022

A wonderful person – a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away too soon on October 29, 2022. Joseph Patrick Maheu, 78, simply loved life and lived it fully. He was known for sailing, painting, strumming beautiful notes on his guitar, playing golf with his sons, and tennis with his brother and nieces, often distracting his opponents with his delightful sense of humor while he beat them serve after serve.
He will be forever missed by his wife and best friend Randi Maheu who was by his side since their highschool days. He is survived by his children Tara (Rick) Walters, Kim (Shaune) McNamara, Jeff (Faye) Maheu, Craig (Leigh Ryder) Maheu, Laura Maheu and Santos (Mark) Maheu and his grandchildren Kelly, Jackson, Halima, Asia, Aliya, Aidan, Deaglan, Farah, Ashalina, and Naveen and his siblings Isobel (Brad), Janey (Jim) and Peter (Margaret) and many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed along with his son Matt. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Dorothy Maheu and his step-mother Margaret Maheu as well as his siblings Virginia, Gerry, Carl, Wilfred, Kevin and Richard. A celebration of his life will take place at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, Ontario at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2022. The celebration of life will be followed by the spreading of Joe’s ashes at Canatara Beach by the Bandshell. Donations to the Canadian Red Cross would be much appreciated (cheques only at the funeral home please).

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Joseph Patrick Maheu March 10th 1944 October 29th 2022..
