Joseph Maxwell Smith December 17 1929 – August 21

Passed peacefully away at his home in Gooseberry Cove, Joseph Maxwell Smith aged 92 years. Predeceased by his parents Edgar and Delilah Smith; brothers Arthur (Violet), Claude (Marilyn), Edwin (Mary), Jack (Freda); sisters Eliza (Graham) Cull, Ivy (Nicholas) Welsh, Dot Miller; brother in law John Peyton; and son in law Randell Meadus. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Emeline (Ninie) of 69 years. His daughters, Maxine (Raymond) Langor, and Sylvia Meadus; grandchildren Scott (Robin), Raylene (Sterling); great granddaughters Samantha and Abby; sister Janet Peyton, Stephenville; brother Clayton (Marie); a large number of nieces and nephews, family and friends. The family would also, like to thank his extra special caregiver Tina Avery for all her help over the last few years. For compassion and dedication to mom and dad we are eternally grateful for. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home Little Heart’s Ease, Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. and Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. from St. Alban’s Anglican Church in Gooseberry Cove. With interment to follow at the St. Alban’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Gooseberry Cove. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Alban’s Anglican Church Gooseberry Cove.
