Obituary
On January 4th, 2022 our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin and Friend passed away in his 85th year.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Shirley; children Brent (Deanne), Christine & Todd. Grandchildren; Matthew, Samuel, Arianne, Dawson & Karlee; and numerous family members and cherished friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; Albert Duguay & Emma Duguay (nee Ward), siblings; Alphonse, Richard, Raymond, Rheal & Romeo.
Delphis was born in Beresford, Gloucester County, New Brunswick. He proudly served in the Canadian Army Royal 22nd Regiment (Van Doos) as an infantry paratrooper in Canada & Europe from March 1954, honorably discharged in March of 1960. Je me souviens (I remember).
Delphis and Shirley met in Elliott Lake, Ontario in 1964, not leaving each others side until the end.
He loved and valued his family and friends. A hard worker, sharp-shooter, hunter, fisherman & builder/craftsman. Spending many hours transferring his skills to his family and friends. In recent years sharing that skill with his grandson Dawson. They shared a profound love of the outdoors. Until he left us, he was on the move, playful, never still.
Due to Covid restrictions, there will be no service at this time. Cremation will commence with a remembrance and burial to follow at a later date to be determined.
Please make a donation to cancer or diabetes research in lieu of flowers.
