Jose Mary Irene Foutre Pattyn Van Hove Foutre February 11th 2022

VAN HOVE, Jose Mary Irene (Foutre) (Pattyn) (March 26, 1928 – February 11, 2022) –
It is with sadness, we the family announce the passing of our much-loved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Jose Mary Irene (Foutre) (Pattyn) Van Hove, at Maple Manor Long Term Care, on February 11th, 2022, at the age of 93. Born in Kent County, Ontario to the late Frank Foutre and late Valentine (VanNieuwhove) Foutre. In Jose’s working years, she was a dedicated employee between Woolworth’s, then Cowards Pharmacy, until retirement. Jose was an active member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church and was an active 75-year member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Women’s League. At the age of just 11, Jose began singing at weddings and funerals. She continued doing so for many years, where she also joined and sang with the Sunday and Resurrection Choir’s. At St. Mary’s Church, she was also a reader of liturgy and an extraordinary minister of holy communion. Always a strong community supporter, Jose actively volunteered between the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Volunteer Association, and she enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels. Jose was a shareholder and member of the former Delhi Belgian Club and Ladies Auxiliary Volunteer. Every day, she lived out her faith. For her reputation of care and many acts of kindness, Jose has earned a place at the heavenly banquet. She will be truly missed by her friends and especially by her loving family. Jose is survived by her much loved husband Richard Van Hove, of Tillsonburg. Lovingly remembered by her children, step-children and their caring families: Mike Pattyn (Debbie), of Tillsonburg and their children; Jamie (Leanne), Mandy (Pat) (sons Ethan, Matthew); Ron Pattyn (Debbie), of Tillsonburg and their children; Aaron (children Oliver, Emily, Ian and their mother Erica); Sarah (Jason) (son Evan); step-daughter Nora Marie (Barry Bruder), of Tillsonburg and their children: Allen (Pam) (children Matthew, Alison); Mark (Sarah) (children Jack, Kate); step-daughter Kim (Doug Hendrick) and their daughter Breanna. Survived by her brother Bob Foutre, nephew Terry (Janine) Foutre, niece Cheryl (Bob) Becker. Also survived by a niece Anne-Marie Foutre (Andy Sack), in Belgium. Jose was predeceased by her first husband Paul Pattyn (1981) and by an infant son James Pattyn.
In keeping with Jose’s expressed wishes, a Traditional Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 15th, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Tillsonburg, by Rev. Fr.
