Obituary
DUBBLESTINE, Jonathan Gregory
On Friday, April 1st, 2022 Jonathan, husband and best friend of Laura (nee Smith) and incredibly proud father of Autumn and Owen, passed away at the PRHC at the age of 43. Caring son of Gregory (the late Kathi). Predeceased by his mother Kathy Dubblestine. Proud Grandson of Beatrice (the late Basil) and Betty (the late Dan) Abel. Dearly missed by his sister Emily Vye and nephews Blake and Hunter.
Jon was an avid outdoorsman who deeply loved each opportunity to enjoy and share his passions of hunting, fishing and working in his large garden. He instilled his love of the outdoors into his family and they have many happy memories of adventures camping, boating and exploring. He will be missed by his many close friends, of whom he most enjoyed spending time out in his boat sharing sunrises and setting hooks. He lived humbly and passionately and will be at peace once again with nature.
In accordance with Jon’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside Service will be held at Little Lake Cemetery. A public “Celebration of Life” will be arranged at a later date. In memory of Jon, donations can be made to Haliburton Highlands Outdoor Association or the PRHC Foundation. Online condolence may be expressed at www.millvalleyfuneral.com
