STYMIEST, John “Jack”

91 years, passed away unexpectedly with family by his side, on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Erie Shores Hospice. Beloved husband of the late Gaida (2018) of 67 years. Dear father of Bill Stymiest (Darlene). Loving Grandpa of Kelly Garant (Jason), and Kim Andrade. Great Grandpa of Addyson, Kaylee and Lennon. Dear brother of the late Agnes Peever (Roy), Pauline Skidd (Edward), and Carl Stymiest. Jack was born in Loggieville, New Brunswick and moved to Toronto in 1948 where he worked for a printing company for 60 years before retiring at age 78. Jack spent the last 3 1/2 years living at Seacliff Manor Retirement Home in Leamington so he could be close to his son and daughter in law. The family would like to thank the staff at Seacliff Manor and Erie Shores Hospice for their care and compassion. A private family Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022. An interment will be held at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Barrie at a later date. Friends and family may share memories and make donations at www.reidfuneralhome.ca.   1. We were so saddened to hear of Jack’s passing. He will always be remembered as a lifelong friend to the Duffy family. Jack and Gaida were like an uncle and aunt to us. Our thoughts are with you Bill and family.
