JOHANN (John) LADICH
May 12, 1930 – September 17, 2022
Suddenly at home, John passed away leaving a loving family to mourn him. John is survived by his wife Violet (Pethes), daughter Betty and her husband Allan, son Jim and his wife Brenda and son Joe. He was a loving grandfather to Julie Ladich.
Also left to mourn is his respected brother-in-law Karl Zemann in Vienna, Austria. John is lovingly remembered by the Kadlcik, Dean, Eby and McMahon families. He was predeceased by two sisters and one brother.
In 1951, John immigrated to Canada from Austria. He was employed by CIP Containers for 40 years. John met Violet and they shared 66 years of married life before he passed.
John eagerly recounted stories of his life and family in Austria. He and Violet travelled to Austria frequently, sometimes with one or more of their children.
His love of cycling up to age 91 amazed all of us. After cycling, John continued to walk many km/day.
The Ladich family thanks the doctors, nurses (Stacey), Home Care staff (Taylor) and Bieman Funeral Home in Dorchester for their invaluable assistance.
Donations may be made to your local Humane Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice.
Cremation has taken place. As per John’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services. A private internment will be held in Dorchester Union Cemetery.
Good bye, dear John. Good bye, dear dad.
I cannot hear your voice
Yet, it seems
You walk beside me
Never absent, ever near.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of John
