Obituary of John Hale
It is with profound sadness we announce the death of John Leslie “Humpty” Hale, 57 of Green Hill formerly of Westville on Friday, March 11, 2022 in the Aberdeen Hospital with his daughter by his side.
Born in New Glasgow on October 30, 1964, he is a son of Aggie (Peterson) Hale, Westville and James (Mary) Hale, Stellarton.
John who was often called Humpty by his friends, originally was a carpenter and also worked for Mactara Lumber Mill. John then got promoted to Foreman at Groupe Savoie. He was a hard worker and challenged the Millwright test and passed.
Dad had a hard battle with brain cancer in 2005 and survived it. Dad was always a fighter and has spent the last 17 years being the best father, grandfather, son & brother he could be and eating at as many buffets as he could. We will always remember his funny jokes and good advice.
He will be sadly missed by his parents; his daughter, Mallory (Jarett Geddes) and grandchildren Charlotte and Henry; his sons, Joshua and Jarett; sister Linda Hale (Dana Murphy); niece Haley MacKinnon and many cousins.
John is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville where visitations will be held on Monday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm . His funeral service will take place at 1 pm Tuesday at St. Paul United Church with Rev. Dr. Mary Taylor officiating. Spring burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery.
Donations can be made to the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia and to Colorectal Cancer Canada.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of John
