Obituary of John Fisher
Following a brief illness, John passed away at the Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus with loved ones by his side on Thursday evening, February 10, 2022; John Martin Fisher of Arnprior; formerly of South Wales was in his 77th year. Beloved husband for over 54 years of Margaret (nee Ford). Dearly loved father of David (Tracey) of Beamsville and Rebecca Fisher (Dave Hadden) of Ottawa. Cherished and proud grandfather of Jake and Rowan, Imogen, Bronwyn, Kipling and Logan. Dear brother of Rosemary (Ian). Special brother-in-law of David Ford (Dianne) and Gareth Ford (Rebecca). John was proud to be called “Daddy” by his adopted Syrian family Karima and Abed Al-Issa and their children. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and so many great friends and former co-workers. John’s final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where a private family service will be webcast live from the Pilon Family Chapel on Friday afternoon, February 18th at 2 o’clock. In memory of John, please consider a donation to the Arnprior Food Bank.
