Stephenson: John Edward
John died at the Brockville General hospital on November 22, 2022 exactly 2 months after the death of his wife Pat (Garrah). John packed a lot into his 76 years. He was born in Akron, Ohio. At the young age of 6 he moved to Okinawa, Japan to join his mother Avonale who was stationed at the US Air Force base there. Over the years, he lived in California, New Mexico and Florida. He found his way to Toronto where he met and married Pat 51 years ago. They both taught for the Scarborough District School Board. They enjoyed their retirement in their home on Charleston Lake. John was a man of many varied talents and interests, particularly in the areas of visual and performing arts. He not only enjoyed them immensely but in his youth was an actor and an award winning ceramic artist.
He is survived by his brother in law Jim Garrah (Lynda), nephew Steven (Victoria), niece Joanne Garrah (Mark Bustard) and great nephew Taylor Garrah. John was fortunate over the years to have had the friendship of Tom Robertson. He was his right-hand man and his driver but most of all he has been his trusted companion and care-giver.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of John
