John David (Jack) Izatt
June 16, 1936 – October 4, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John David (Jack) Izatt at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in his 87th year, on October 4th, 2022.
Predeceased by his first wife, Shirley, in 1997. Also predeceased by his parents Margaret and David.
Beloved husband and best friend of Judy. Loving father of Stacey (Jeff), Julie (Angus), Tobin (Patricia). beloved grandfather to Candace. Stepfather to Jennifer (Gord), Jodi, Bonnie (Paul) and step grandfather to 9 grandchildren (Elizabeth, Grace, Katie, Jamie, Sarah, Mitchell, Lucas, Russell, and Noah).
Brother to Peggy, Helen (Norm), Jim (Alice), and Penny (Wale).
Jack was a firefighter for 36 years with the Mississauga Fire Department. He retired as District Chief and a decorated officer.
Visitation and funeral will be held at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Home, 3227 King Street, Vineland, ON.
Visitation will be on Tuesday October 11, 2022 (2-4pm) and (6-8pm).
The funeral honouring Jack’s life will be held on Wednesday October 12, 2022, at 10 am with a reception to follow.
Interment for family and friends to take place at Springcreek Cemetery, 1390 Clarkson Rd N, Mississauga, following reception.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Vineland United Church, or a charity of your choice are suggested If you wish to make a donation in Jack’s honour.
