John Campbell 2022

Obituary for
John Campbell
John Campbell, 52 of Edmonton, passed away on January 9, 2022 after a courageous fight with cancer.
Born on April 22, 1969 to Robert and Louise, John grew up surrounded with friendship, music and adventures on Pigeon Lake with his sister, Anne (Brian) Kindrachuk.
After graduating from Strathcona High School and University of Alberta in Economics, John continued his studies in Business at The University of Northern BC in Prince George. It was there that he met his partner and “sweetie” Korina Jodoin.
They married in 2001 and had two children, Lachlan and Ian. Fatherhood was John’s dream come to life. He shared his love of movies, “old man music”, discovering local adventures and being on the water.
As a member of the Lynne Singers, John shared his passion for music and was an inspiration to other members of his choir. His warmth and energy were the foundation to his success in business. He made genuine connections with his clients and was proud of promoting health.
John was fun, positive, optimistic, romantic, sentimental and loyal and he will be dearly missed.
There will be a celebration of John’s life in his beloved Tiki Lounge when weather permits.

Home, is where I want to be
But I guess I’m already there
I come home, she lifted up her wings
Guess that this must be the place

  1. So sorry to hear about your loss. We will dearly miss John and his dad on the weekends at the restaurant. He always made us feel like He and Korina have been coming for breakfast for years. My son and Lachlan were born around the same time and we have always shared stories about our kids. John was a an avid supporter of the restaurant even during the darkest days of the pandemic. We feel like we’ve lost part of our family. Words can’t express our grief. I want the family to know they will always have a special place in our restaurant and in our hearts. We will cherish John’s memory forever. Love Char, Thomas and Chris.

  2. I was so sorry to hear about John’s passing. I have had the pleasure of being one of John’s clients over the past two years. I can truly say that I have never worked with someone who was so kind and honest and who genuinely wanted what was best for his clients. This so rare, and I will be forever grateful for all John did for our small business, our team, and their families. We were in such good hands. Our deepest condolences to all of John’s friends and family.
