John Wayne McKenzie 2022

John Wayne’s Obituary
At his home in Paris, Ontario John Wayne McKenzie slipped away quietly, after fighting cancer for six months, on Wednesday November 30, 2022. He was 67 years of age. Predeceased by the love of his life Helen McKenzie (nee. Pastuszak) in 2017, a loss he never really recovered from. Son of the late John and Marion McKenzie. Loved father of Mark (Amy) and Joshua (Melanie). Cherished grandfather of Caleb, Emily, Eddie, Ridley and Launa. Forever loved brother of Martin and Karen, the late Richard and Sue, Susan and Tricia and Dale. Loved brother-in-law of Roza. Wayne will be dearly missed by his extended family and many dear friends.
Wayne was a genuinely kind person who you could pass the time of day with so easily. He will always be remembered for the large handlebar moustache that he wore until his dying day. Sports played a central role in his life. He loved hockey, baseball, squash, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed his annual participation in the Locke Fishing Derby. Wayne was a passionate Maple Leafs Fan who was always convinced that this was going to be the year!
Friends will be received at the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Road, Paris, Ontario for visitation on Thursday December 8, 2022 from 7 – 9 p.m. In accordance with Wayne’s expressed wishes, cremation has already taken place.
