Obituary of John Thomas Englehutt
Englehutt, John Thomas- the family is sad to announce the passing of John, age 84, at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Wednesday May 4, 2022 after a sudden brief illness. Born October 4, 1937 in Moser River he was the son and youngest child of Blair and Hazel (MacDonald) Englehutt.
John is survived by his wife Brenda (Greer), son Arnold (Bonnie) of Digby, and daughter Susan of Ottawa; grandchildren Andrew (Laura) of Eastern Passage, Bradley (Vanessa) and Brian (Kayla) both of Sask.; great granddaughters, Quincie and Jolie; sister, Charlotte Cameron of Stillwater Lake and brother, Lloyd (Sheila) of Dartmouth; sisters-in-law, Marlene and Janice Greer of Lower Branch as well as cherished nieces and nephews and other extended family, special friend, Harold Murphy of Digby.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Charlotte (Conrad).
John worked in banking at Halifax, Sackville, NB, Kentville, Bridgetown, and Digby before going into the Real Estate business and forming John’s Real Estate Company. During retirement he spent many hours in his woodworking shop and also planting a small orchard and attending to it.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. both from the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Digby. Family flowers only. Donations in memory can be made to the Palliative Care Fund at Yarmouth Hospital Foundation Office, 60 Vancouver Street, Yarmouth, NS B5A 2P5.     Our hearts are with you at this time of loss.We feel for you in your sorrow.So comforting that John lived for things that have an eternal future..Thinking of you , Brenda in the loss of your husband.
