Obituary
John passed away unexpectedly at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Monday, July 11th, 2022. Born on May 15th, 1941 in Toronto, John Anthony Stockwell, formerly of Peterborough and most recently of Owen Sound, was in his 82nd year.
Loving father of Karin, Julia (John), Deborah and Amy. Beloved brother of Jane(Tom) and cousin of Alec and Paul (Nancy). Proud grandfather of William, Andrew, Andrew, Theodore, Wendy, Marek and Lincoln. John will be missed by his many friends, especially Gerard, Has, Don and Doug, the Peterborough ProLife community and the Leaside crew.
Predeceased by his parents John and Kay Stockwell, his sister Meredith Stockwell and his grandson RJ Stockwell.
A funeral service for John will be held at the Cathedral of St. Peter-In-Chains, 411 Reid Street, Peterborough, on Saturday, July 30th, 2022 at 1 p.m. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Owen Sound. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519 376 7492.
