Obituary
John passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side, on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Born on December 4, 1951 in Owen Sound, John Douglas Skinner, of Tara, was in his 72nd year.
Dearly loved partner and best friend of Cathy Brown (née MacLeod) for 33 years. Dear stepfather of David Brown (late Carolyn), Robert Brown (Jessica) and Becky Brown. Proud papa of Wesley, Avery, Sydney, Callie and Sawyer. Dear brother of Larry Skinner (Cecilia), Bruce Skinner (Yvonne), Kathy Brown (Keith), Janice McCutcheon (Paul) and Susan Connell (Bill). John’s canine companion, Roxy, will miss her best friend. Predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Inez Skinner (nee Randall).
In keeping with John’s wishes, there will not be any service.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th Street West, Owen Sound, (519) 376-7492
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Chapman House Hospice or the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be appreciated.
