John Robert’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late John Robert (Jack) Farrell announces his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL on Friday, September 9th 2022 at the age of 57 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Jack was the son of the late Keltie and Fanny Farrell (nee Lillington). He was also predeceased by his grandparents; Samuel and Martha Lillington and Albert and Violet Farrell, brother’s and sister’s; Nelson, Keltie Jr., Evelyn and baby infant sister, nephew; Christopher Farrell and his Godmother; Harriett Lillington.
He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 23 years; Thelma, his children; Megan (Corey) Keeping, Jessica (Jeffrey) Simpson, C.J. (Darrellyn) McNeil, Lacey Warren and Dylan (Hannah) Farrell, grandchildren; Lauren, Casey, Jayda, Jayden, Javontae and Cole.
Jack also leaves behind his parents in-law; John and Margaret Coley, brothers and sisters; Ellen (Claude) Farrell, Brian (Holly) Farrell, Carolyn (Lloyd) Piercey, Debbie (Robert) Dicks, Lori-Ann (Austin) Leamon, brothers and sisters in-law; Marlene Farrell, Jackie (Paul) Francis, Johnny (Michelle) Coley, William (Kim) Coley, Margaret (Lawrence) Coley, his uncle; Morgan Lillington, Godfather; George Lillington, Godson; Ashton Coley, friend Cecil Coley, plus a very large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Jack will be remembered for his sense of humor, his kind heart, his close connection with the family dog Luke, and his love of playing darts in the shed.
In keeping with Jacks wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. (downtown location) in Port aux Basques, NL. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 14th at 2 pm from St. James Anglican Church officiated by Rev. Jane Allen with interment to follow at a later date.
