The death of our beloved, John O’Neil, is a time of extreme sadness for all members of our family.
John is survived by his loving wife, Enid of 67 years; daughter, Kerry (Casidy); sons, Paul and Carl; his brother, Gordon, in the United Kingdom; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephew.
We know this loss will be deeply felt throughout his family and friends, near and far. During this period of mourning and change, we will be comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and deep affection our father received both in life and now in passing. John had a love for his family, fishing, wildlife, camping, automobiles, and great food.
Starting as a Royal Horse Guard in England, immigrating as a miner to Britannia Beach, followed by FMC in Squamish to a quiet retirement in Osoyoos. This man was always respected for his hard-working ethics.
John was fortunate to have the comfort from his brothers and sisters in his affiliation as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He passed peacefully and we thank those who provided care for John in his last days. He will be forever loved and missed by all.
