John Michelin
Peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Beloved husband of Linda and the late Judy. Loving father and father-in law of Andy, Janet and Oliver, the late Steve, the late Rob, and Odette. Proud and loving grandfather of Jessica, Emily, Danielle, Jamie, Joseph, Emmett, Dylan, and Quinn. Much loved brother of Grace, Paul, and Donald. John will also be sadly missed by Rania and her children, his stepchildren, Mitchell and Alyssa, Gail and Albert, Jonathan and Carole and their children as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A successful lawyer by profession, John’s real life’s work was living well. He loved golf, whether he was playing or watching it on TV. Most of all, John loved spending time with friends and family. He could talk for hours, and often did. Nothing made him happier than his grandchildren. His was a life well-lived despite all the hardships he had to overcome – Steve’s and Rob’s cystic fibrosis diagnosis as children, Judy’s death after a year long battle with cancer and Steve’s and Rob’s deaths in a span of three years. But he continued to find joy and happiness in his life with Linda, in our weekly family dinners and in his grandchildren’s accomplishments.
Contributions in John’s memory may be made to Hope and Cope c/o Jewish General Hospital Foundation, (514) 340-8251, or to the charity of your choice.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of John Michelin 2022..
