John Kostenuik
September 6, 1941 – March 14, 2022
We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to announce the passing of John with family at his side in hospice in Collingwood. He was a loving husband and partner to Helen for 59 years. He had a great love of gardening, golfing, fishing for lake trout, making wine and cooking ethnic foods (“smegs”). Most of all he loved celebrating everything with his family and friends. He was so proud of his children Kristine (Ray), Paul (Christi), Marcia (Christopher) and considered them each a blessing. He will be deeply missed by his beloved grandchildren Gabby (Giuseppe), Celeste, Luke (Rachel), Molly, Johnny, Frankie, Trey, Leo and Max. He was delighted with his new great grandson Giacomo. He will be missed by his siblings Doreen (late Wayne), late Marion (Gary), Helen (Jon), Billy, Violet (Kenny), and Frankie. He also enjoyed his many nieces and nephews. We have fond memories of our many adventures with Max and Rob, and holidays and fishing trips with Donnie and Christine.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House would be greatly appreciated.
John always believed that life was to be celebrated.
