John Jack Legere 1935 2022

John Evan “Jack”
Legere, 86, of Amherst, and formerly of Springhill, NS,
passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Cumberland Regional
Health Care Centre. Born in Springhill, Jack was a son of
the late Archie and Mary (McNeil) Legere
During his working years Jack was
employed at Oxford Frozen Foods, Surrette Battery and Can Am
Container, as well as in the west. He was an avid pool
player and loved and was devoted to his late wife
Shirley.
Jack leaves behind his step-children,
Myron, Stephen, and Sue Ellen and their families, several nieces and
nephews as well as many close friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by his wife, Shirley; his brothers, James, Francis, Leo and Douglas,
and a step-son, Shawn.
Arrangements have been entrusted into
the care and guidance of A.H. Brown Funeral
Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill
(902-667-8777). Honouring Jack’s wishes, cremation has taken
place and there are to be no services. Jack will be laid to
rest with his wife in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Oxford, in the
spring.
Donations in memory of Jack may be made
to a charity of the donor’s choice.
