Obituary
Jack passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Markdale, on Saturday, May 28, 2022. Born on March 18, 1946 in Owen Sound, John Kenneth Kay, of Holland Centre, was in his 77th year.
Dearly loved husband and best friend of Eileen Kay (née Coulter) for 55 years. Loving father of Sandra Van De Vechte (Rick), of Collingwood and Jody Johnson (Ryan), of Berkeley. Proud grandfather of Mitchell and Grace Van De Vechte and River Rose, Lore and Jorja Johnson. Dear brother of Dolly Pears (Rod), of Forest, Ontario and brother-in-law of Marlene Gautreau (Don), of Owen Sound, Marjorie Holman (Ron), of Atlin, BC, Joan McCrea-Shiek, of Owen Sound and George Ottewell (Nancy), of Springmount. Jack will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Gladys Kay, his parents-in-law, Jack and Wilda Coulter, his in-laws, Bob Coulter and Shirley Lewis.
A Visitation for Jack Kay will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492 on Saturday evening, June 4, 2022 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Condolences can be sent to the family by visiting Jack’s online memorial at www.woodfuneralhome.ca.
