Gerrard – John “Jack” died on May 9, 2022 at age 82. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Ghislaine (née Rancourt); his 3 children: Gerald (Chantal), Lise Fowler (Dave), and Larry (Julie); 6 grandchildren: Josh Fowler, Stephanie Woolridge (Lukas), Nicolas, Alex, Ashley and Anik Gerrard; 3 brothers: Simon (Gail), Richard (Lois) and Gary (Danuta); 6 brothers-in-law: Ronald, Marcel (Evelyn), Joe (Suzanne), Gilles, Leo (Corie) and Raymond Rancourt; his sister-in-law Lorraine McDonald (Tim); and many nieces and nephews. He is pre deceased by his parents, Kathleen (nee Kutchaw ) and Emile Gerrard; his 4 sisters and their husbands: Ethel Sheehy (Jim), Evelyn Wysoski (Anthony), Doreen Moore (Roy), and Myrtle Gauthier (Ross); a brother, Maurice and his brother’s wife Rachelle; his mother and father-in-law Leonie (nee Bertrand) and Henri Rancourt; and a brother-in-law Norman Rancourt. Jack spent his career working in the financial industry and as a heavy equipment sales rep, retiring from Tracks and Wheels in Sudbury in 1999. He was an avid sports fan, loved old cars, country music, and hunting and fishing. A mass was held at St. Jude Parish on Friday May 13 with interment at the Espanola cemetery. A special thank you to the nurses and PSWs at Centennial Manor for taking such good care of him over the last year.
