John’s Obituary
Boutilier, John Edward – Age 81 of Middleton, Annapolis Co., passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022, in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Dartmouth, he was the son of the late John and Hazel (Searle) Boutilier. John served as Postmaster in Middleton for over 27 years with Canada Post. He was a long-time member of Evangeline Lodge No. 94, A.F. & A.M., Bridgetown. John was a member of the Blue Nose Heritage Club. He was also past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 112, Lawrencetown. John is survived by his daughter, Dawna (David); granddaughter, Tiffani (Travis); grandson, Kris (Sarah); great grandchildren, Clarke and Koen; sister-in-law, Marilyn K. McPhee. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his wife, Donna (White) Boutilier; twin daughter, Heather Ann; nephew, Kevin Simpson. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2022, in Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown. Rev. Herb Anderson officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Valley Regional Hospital ICU staff and doctors for their care provided to John.
