Passed away surrounded by his family at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Sunday January 16, 2022. John Witheridge retired elementary school teacher, coach and teammate. Beloved husband of Valerie Mercer for 49 years. Loving father of Devon (Tamara Zunti) and Bobby (Andrea Fennell). Survived by his grandchildren Brixham and Asher. Dear brother Dave Witheridge, Barbara (Dave Wilson) and Don (Lynn). Friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope, Saturday 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Memorial Tributes in memory of John, Sunday 2 pm. If desired, memorial contributions may be made by cheque to the Northumberland Humane Society or Jump Start.
