Obituary
John Dale ton passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Penticton Regional Hospital. Predeceased by his parents John and Elsie ton, brother George in 2018, and sister Daphne in 2020.
Survived by Ann, daughter Leticia, granddaughter Caitlin in N.B., son John (Amanda), and grandchildren Anica and Zane in Florida, his sister Janice (David), and sister-in-law Jo-Anne in Summerland, nephews Sean, Lawren, and Kristopher, and Nieces Kerri-Anne and Erin.
Dale worked as a pipe fitter for Grinnell Corp. for many years. After retiring, he worked in the oilfields in Alberta on a seasonal basis so he could go back to Ottawa for the snowmobile season and to catch up with his many friends.
His Ford Truck was his pride and joy and he traveled back and forth across Canada many times.
After living most of his life in Ottawa, and playing recreational hockey until he was 75, Dale moved to Summerland, B.C. in 2020, enjoyed his time with his family, made many friends, and liked working as a volunteer with the Summerland Health Auxiliary Thrift Shop.
Dale will be missed by many.
