John’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts that the family of the late John Charles Osmond, announces his peaceful passing with his loving family by his side on Sunday, December 4th, 2022 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL at the age of 84 years. Born in Cape Ray, NL, John was the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth Osmond (nee Chant). He was also predeceased brothers; Absalom (Susan) Osmond, Raymond Osmond, Edgar Osmond, sisters; Lillian (Thomas) Osmond, Margaret (George) Jeans, Father and Mother in-law; Hughie and Francis Osmond (nee Carter), brothers and sisters in-law; Joseph, Francis, John Osmond, Hughie (Mary) Osmond, Stanley Osmond (Elizabeth Seaward), Wallace (Minnie) Osmond, Harriett Osmond, Bernard Osmond (Winifred Wall), Isaac Osmond, Richard (Sadie) Osmond, Cyril Osmond, George Allen and Susie Osmond.
John leaves behind with many fond and precious memories his loving wife of 63 years; Florence Osmond, his children; Marlilyn (Wayne) Osmond, Sylvia (Ricky) Pearce, Michelle (Charlie) Osmond, his grandchildren; Terry(Alicia), Justin (Jennifer) and Chantelle, his great-grandchildren; Hayley, Cameron, Jemma, Serenity and Mckinley, brother; Ralph Osmond, sisters; Ethel Allen, Joyce (Harold) Jeans, sisters in-law; Rita, Joan, Elsie and Marion Osmond, plus a very large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m and at St. John the Evangelist Church, Cape Ray, NL. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, December 7th at 11 a.m. from St. John The Evangelist Church in Cape Ray officiated by Rev. Faye Coffin. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in memory of John can be made to the family.
