Bullock, John Curtis
John Curtis Bullock (Sept 20, 1954 – Oct 1, 2022), of Guelph,
passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love, after a year-long
journey with cancer. Dearly loved partner of Nancy
Dickieson. Will be sadly missed by Bruce and Sue Dickieson,
Karla, Ben and Katie Oxley, Ian Dickieson, and a wide circle of
extended family and friends. Predeceased by his father,
Harold Bullock, his sister Carolyn (Carrie) Bullock, and parents
Donnie and Elvin McNally.
John worked as a building mechanic and millwright at the
University of Guelph until his retirement in 2019. His early
career was in mining, in Alberta and Red Lake, ON.
John had a passion for the outdoors. He loved to
hike, cycle, and cross-country ski. He challenged himself
with demanding high altitude treks in Africa, Peru, Nepal and
Chile. Along with his love of travel, John was interested in
photography, music and history, especially WWII. He enjoyed
time spent with family and friends, including a lively game of euchre
after a good meal.
