John Brady 1949 2022

John Harold Brady of Bridgewater passed away on January 4,
2022 at the Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg after
a hard fought battle with ALS. At his side were his loving partner of
22 years, Debbie Brown, and his devoted step daughter Lori
Brown.
John spent many years as an assessor, loved meeting people,
and had an amazing repertoire of interesting stories to tell. He loved
working in the woods, plowing snow for all the neighbours, and putting
in his summer garden.
He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Brady (Adam) and
Jill Brady, all of Halifax; his grandchildren, Camdyn and Meika, and
special granddaughter Maddy, who rarely left his side for five years.
Also survived by his sister, Mary Ann Gibbons, nephews Andy (Lori) and
Casey Gibbons as well as stepson Jason (Carol-Ann) Brown and grandson
Simon.
John was predeceased by his parents, Harold and
Lillian Brady and his only son, Matthew.
A special thanks to the medical ward at Fishermen’s
as well and Jamie and Amy who made these last months comfortable for
him.
In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no
service. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Any
donations in his memory would by appreciated by the ALS Society or the
Bridgewater Baptist Church. Arrangements are entrusted to R.A. Corkum
Funeral Home, Wileville, where on-line condolences may be made by
