John Anthony LeBlanc Friday April 8th 2022

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of John Anthony LeBlanc of Sudbury, Ontario on April 8, 2022, at the age of 61.
John was the beloved son of Julia LeBlanc Grant and the late Edgar LeBlanc. He will be deeply and forever missed by his sisters Carmel Jurewich (Rick), and Susan Perkins (Ray). John will be joined in Heaven with his late brother, Gary LeBlanc. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Nicole, Jason, Michelle, Julie, David, Shawna, Lissa, Kate and 14 great nieces and nephews. John will be fondly remembered by his many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
John’s passing has had a profound impact on his many friends who thought very highly of him.
John was born and raised in Oakville, ON where he attended school, played hockey and was member of the Cadets. He had a lifelong love of camping, fishing, canoeing and spending time with his family and friends in the great outdoors.
John excelled in his quest for learning. His many achievements included certifications in air conditioning and refrigeration, welding and pipefitting as well as other specialized programs in order to be at the top of his trades. Those qualifications led him to employment in the far north of Ontario in the construction of gold mines.
At the age of 38 John lost his vision, thus his dreams of working in his acquired trades came to an end. Within a few years he made the decision to change the course of his education. He completed his Certification with the Canadian National Institute for The Blind – Adjustment To Vision Loss Programs. He then enrolled into Cambrian College where he achieved a Grade Point Average of 4.0, an exceptional accomplishment which put him on the Presidents Honour Roll. From there he enrolled into Laurentian University where he received his Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Labour Studies.
John’s courageous spirit encouraged him to persist in the face of many struggles. John will be missed but never forgotten.
In John’s memory, donations can be made to the Canadian National Institute for The Blind.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
