John Andrew Piche
It is with profound sadness that we announce that John Pich passed away peacefully on January 25, 2022 at the age of 87 in Edmonton, Alberta.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Peter (Joan); sisters, Irene Brown and Olga Rourke; brother-in-law, Jim Melnyk; numerous nieces and nephews; caring family and friends.
John was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Bessie; sisters Mary, Jennie, Ann and Pearl; brothers, Greg, Mike, Eli and Nick.
A special thanks to Dr. A. Marin, the staff and community at Canterbury Court and his non-medical companions for their care and compassion.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton, AB.
Per Alberta’s Restriction Exemption Program, be prepared to provide proof of Vaccinations for the Funeral Service (QR code along with valid ID if 18 or over), or proof of a negative rapid COVID test taken within 72 hours of entry, or an original medical exemption letter.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 16102 Fort Road, Edmonton, AB.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capital Care CHOICE at Norwood 10404 – 111 Ave. Edmonton, AB T5G 3A2 or The Salvation Army, 9618 – 101A Ave. Edmonton, AB T5H 0C7 or to a charity of one’s choice.
