  1. I was so sad to hear about John’s passing. The Poole name, in particular Poole & Co., has been an institution in Woodstock for over 100 years. I remember how kind John was to us when we would visit the grocery on Huron Street as kids. Many of John’s extended family became good friends of mine over the years. I got to know John better personally while he was at Oxford Gardens, just down the hall from my mother. He always stopped to chat and I looked forward to our conversations. On behalf of the Julian Family, please accept our sincere condolences. We will miss him.

  2. Dear Barbara, Cathy, Dorothy, Eleanor and Jacquie:

Please know that I am sending you my condolences on the loss of my first cousin John. He was very much loved and admired by so many family, friends and Poole and Company employees and customers.

With fond memories of 176 Graham Street. Especially the many Christmas dinners. With much love Julie.
