Schofield, John Alfred “Jack”
Died peacefully on Wednesday May 4, 2022 at Sunset Manor, Collingwood at the age of 95. Jack, beloved husband of Olive for almost 70 years. Loving father of Christine (the late Christopher Sprecker). Cherished grandfather of Erin (Sean Knight) and Paige (Darren Muirhead) and great grandfather of Ethan, Olivia and Emily Knight and Camden, Bromley and Griffen Muirhead. Jack is predeceased by his brothers George and Robert and his parents Alfred and Christina. Jack was a veteran of the Korean War, retiring after 25 years of service to the Canadian Armed Forces as Sargeant. He continued his career at the Collingwood Shipyards. Jack loved being outdoors amongst nature and he was skilled carpenter, enjoying creating keepsakes from wood. He will be missed. Friends are invited to join his family at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Thursday May 19, 2022 for the Memorial Service in the chapel at 1 o’clock.
