DE VRIES, Johanna Berendina- (nee Tolkamp)- Passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour, with her family by her side, at Trenton Memorial Hospital on Friday April 15, 2022 in her 92nd year. Born March 24, 1931 at Aalten, Netherlands she immigrated to Canada in 1953 with her parents where they settled in Prince Edward County.
Beloved wife of the late Allen de Vries. Loving mother to Marion, Gord and Ellen, Rob and Nellie, Ken and Virginia, Andre and Anita, and Denise. She will be forever cherished and loved by her 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Ever remembered by her sister Grace Doornbos (late Peter), her in-laws Ruth and Frank (late Henry), Arnold, Jane, Sylvia (late John), Sid (late Helen) and her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Dina Tolkamp, and siblings Bill (late Phyllis), and Dini (late Arnold). The family will receive friends for visitation at the Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church, 18 Fourth Avenue, Trenton on Tuesday April 19, 2022 from 6:30pm – 9pm and Wednesday April 20 at 12 Noon (1 hour prior to the service). The memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm at the church, followed by a reception. A Private Family Interment will be held at a later date at Mount Evergreen Cemetery, Trenton.
