DANOWSKI- Joseph Walter of Caressant Care-Bonnie Place in St. Thomas, passed away peacefully in his residence on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the age of 82. Joseph is survived by his children Laurie Danowski (Carm Augustyn) of Campbellville, Joseph Danowski (Shara Ross) of London, and Rob Danowski of London; and by his many nieces and nephews. Joey will be sadly missed by his long-time friend and partner, Glenda Gerrits, her family and extended family. Our time together will always be cherished. Joe was the last surviving member of his family and he is predeceased by his sisters Adeline Vanschaik, Phyllis Vanschaik and Helen Danowski, and by his brothers William and John Danowski. Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). A celebration of Joe’s life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion Donnybrook Branch 513 in Dorchester on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm. If desired, donations to Thamesford Area Minor Hockey Association or the Activity Department at Caressant Care-Bonnie Place would be appreciated.   1. My deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Joe. We thought of him as a wonderful support to my Aunt Jane and we enjoyed having him at our family events when we were younger. He was always very kind to myself and my brothers, he will be remembered fondly and missed by us all.
