With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, papa, great papa, uncle, partner and friend Joe Peltier, 74.
Joseph was a remarkable man who has left a big impact on many hearts. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends, watching his show Jeopardy everyday, singing karaoke, and cheering on his favorite football and hockey teams, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Winnipeg Jets. He was a very intelligent, humorous, loving, and gifted man who shared many beautiful life stories with those around him. He was also an amazing guitarist and singer – wherever he went he was able to share his gifts with others in the most beautiful way, through his music and his knowledge.
He will be so greatly missed by many who knew and loved him, especially by his children and step-children; Daniella, Frank (Kim), Destiny (Omar), Crystal, Dawn (Mike), Dean and Darren (Leanne), many grandchildren, Jeremy, Brooklyn, Tayller, Faith, Jordan, Alex, Mya, Frankie, Kaylee, Riel, Deontae, Nick, Andie, Omar, Martin, great grandchildren; Aubrey, Skyleigh, and in honor of him; Joseph (baby Joe), also Jasiah and Aurora. His loving partner; Myrna, and also the mother of his four eldest children; Margaret, along with his nieces and nephews.
He now is transitioning from the physical world and going to the spirit world where he will join and reunite with his brothers and other loved ones who he spoke highly of; Stan, Bud, Frank, his mother Rose and father Fred.
Our family would like to express the gratitude towards Maples Personal Care home, for a job well done and the kind hearts who kept Joe comfortable during his time there. We would like to also thank Sakimay First Nation, and Aboriginal Funeral Chapel for their assistance for his final arrangements during this difficult time.
Forever in our hearts he will remain.
A celebration of his life will take place at Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2:00pm.
